The Early Years curriculum at GEMS Modern Academy prepares our young learners for the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), designed to spark curiosity and a love for learning from the very start. It focuses on holistic development, nurturing cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth in young learners.
PYP - Grades 1 to 5
GEMS Modern Academy Primary School offers IB PYP which is an internationally-recognized framework for primary education that focuses on developing inquiring, knowledgeable, and caring young people through transdisciplinary, inquiry-based learning.
MYP - Grades 6 to 8
GEMS Modern Academy Primary School offers IB MYP which is a challenging framework for students aged 11-16 that encourages them to make practical connections between their studies and the real world.
Grades 6 to 8
In Grades 6 to 8, we offer the Cambridge Lower Secondary programme, an international curriculum for learners aged 11–14 that builds strong subject foundations while fostering skills for future academic success.

In Grades 9 and 10 we offer Cambridge IGCSES, the world's most popular international qualification for 14 to 16 year old.

Beyond The Classroom

GEMS Modern Academy offers enriching experiences and extra-curricular activities run by our dedicated teaching staff or local community experts. Extra-curricular activities build students’ aspirations and provide them with the foundations and transferable skills to make new friends and, most importantly, have fun.

Art & Design Studio

According to a study for Project Zero at Harvard University, “A quality art education program can develop the capacity to think creatively and the capacity to make connections.” Through art education, we help our students develop creativity, encourage creative expression and cultivate an open mind.

Dance, Music & Drama

We provide opportunities where children demonstrate originality and inventiveness in the field of performing arts. This is done taking into account age-appropriateness. Children analyse and appreciate the nuances of various genres, and styles of maestros.
